
DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — The Delaware County Health Department has launched a summer program to help seniors with their medical records.
Phyllis Johnson says the closure of Crozer left her in a tough position, and accessing her medical records online did not make it any easier.
“I couldn’t figure out how to do it myself, so I’m so grateful for these people to be here to help me do this,” Johnson said. “Because we, as seniors, sometimes can’t figure out how to do this stuff online. It’s hard for us to grasp what’s going on.”
The program also provides blood pressure screenings and can help seniors find a doctor or talk to a medical professional.
It is is only a few weeks long, so those interested should act soon. Dates and locations are as follows:
Friendship Circle - 1515 Lansdowne Avenue, Darby
June 18 from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Schoolhouse Senior Center - 600 Swarthmore Avenue, Folsom
June 23 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Access Center - 701 Booth Street, Chester
June 26 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Chester Senior Center - 721 Hayes Street, Chester
