MEDIA, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Former Delaware County Emergency Director Timothy Boyce was found guilty of sexual misconduct against two of his employees on Friday.
Boyce was fired in 2024 following sexual discrimination allegations from women in his office.
One of the victims testified on Tuesday that he lifted her skirt without her consent in an effort to see her tattoos. On another occasion years later, she said he grabbed her buttocks. She also alleged he showed her pictures of his genitals.
Another victim took the stand on Monday, claiming Boyce tried to kiss her on the lips while simultaneously grabbing her rear end. She eventually quit.
When Boyce testified earlier this week, he denied the incidents ever occurred. Boyce’s defense team accused the women of conspiring to get money.
The defense also tried to frame Boyce’s trial as a political witch hunt from Delaware County Democrats against him because he is Republican.
He was found guilty of two counts of indecent assault and two counts of harassment, and not guilty on one count of simple assault.
Boyce was taken out of court in handcuffs. His bail is set at $25,000, and a sentencing is scheduled for later this month.
“I can tell you that as a practicing attorney licensed for nearly 30 years in this coming June, I definitely lost some of my faith in the jury system today, based on this case,” said Boyce’s attorney, Andrew Edelberg.
Boyce faces up to eight years in prison.
