Drive-by shooting in West Philadelphia leaves two injured

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in West Philadelphia that left two men injured Friday night.

It happened just before 9:30 p.m. A group of men were sitting on the steps of a house on the 5500 block of Walton Avenue in Cedar Park when police said someone sitting in the back seat of a dark colored sedan opened fire while driving by.

A 33-year-old man was shot in the leg and torso and is in critical condition. A 49-year-old man was shot in the leg and is in stable condition.

Investigators haven’t said whether or not the shooting was targeted. No guns were recovered, and no suspects have been identified.

This is an ongoing investigation.
