Officials said Herrschaft was driving erratically near 26th Street and Pennrose Avenue around 6 p.m. Sunday. State troopers tried to pull the car over, but he took off and ended up on Pattison Avenue, in front of the entrance of Lincoln Financial Field.

Cellphone video posted online shows Herrschaft backing up to get away, striking a Philly police cruiser in the process.

The officer was taken to the hospital.

Herrschaft was taken into custody. He is charged with DUI, driving without a license, and related offenses.
