PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are looking for the driver who struck and killed a man in North Philadelphia late Saturday night.
Authorities said the crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on the 4000 block of Whitaker Avenue in the city’s Juniata Park neighborhood.
According to a preliminary investigation, a silver SUV was speeding northbound on Whitaker Avenue when it struck the 22-year-old victim, who was crossing the street.
The driver then took off.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
