PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are looking for the driver of an SUV who hit a 70-year-old pedestrian Wednesday night in West Philadelphia and then fled the scene.
Just before 8 p.m., police said the victim was hit at the intersection of Civic Center Boulevard and University Avenue in University City.
The driver got out of the SUV, looked at the victim, then got back in and drove away, officials said.
The victim is in critical condition at the hospital.
Police are looking for a silver or gray SUV. It was last seen driving southbound on University Avenue after the incident.
