PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — On the night before the NFC championship game, the Eagles treated fans to a drone show on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. High above the Art Museum steps, the lighted drones flew into various formations to make images against the night sky that could be seen from a mile away.

One of the first phrases that lit up the sky was “Let’s Hunt” — the Birds’ playoff motto and a feeling all fans can appreciate.

From Saquon Barkley’s now-famous hurdle to Quinyon Mitchell’s sideline dances, the 10-minute show was just enough to hype up the crowd for the big game. Fans of all ages were out seeing the show and cheering at every image.

“All the players, I think that that was the best part, seeing all the players. It's phenomenal what the drones can do,” said a woman named Kathy who was there with her friend.

“It was a great show, even though it was short. It was really nice. And for all those people to come together, too. It was a really cool experience,” said Sydney, who was there with friends.

Maslyn said she enjoyed seeing people from all over the city enjoying the show.

“I think it was cool, kids of all ages, people with all different sorts of disabilities and stuff come out there and enjoy it. I thought it was awesome,” she said.

Anya Sen lives in Washington, D.C., but she had to come home to root for her Birds. She said her favorite part was hearing the crowd join in.

“l liked when they said ‘Go Birds!’ because everyone got really excited. It was so cool when they moved the images. Just to watch them all. I've never seen anything like that,” said Sen.

She says she’s most excited for the Birds to take the win on Sunday — “for us to win and for us to storm the city and go to the Super Bowl.”

The show ended with a QR code lit up in the night sky, which fans scanned with their smart phones for a chance to scan to win two tickets to Sunday’s NFC championship game.
