PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The road to the Super Bowl in the NFC will go through South Philadelphia, at Lincoln Financial Field. Excited tailgating fans gathered to bring the energy to Sunday’s game as the Eagles take on the Los Angeles Rams.

Why did Yolanda Torres and her crew get to the Linc at 5 a.m.?

“Because of the Birds, baby! When you love something, you go hard for it, and that’s what we do—we ride for our city,” she said.

Torres was among the first tailgaters excited to cheer on the Eagles in this NFC divisional-round playoff game. Just like the players have key meals to perform their best, she had her pregame prep down.

“We have some chili to keep you warm, chicken noodle soup,” she said.

Noting the snow forecasted to fall during Sunday’s game, Torres said she loves snow bowl games and thinks it’ll work in the Birds' favor against the team from sunny LA.

“It’s snow bowl, baby! If you’re not out here, you’re not real fans—go Birds!”

Eagles fan, Ryan Bedford shared his unique tradition.

“I wear the same underwear every week,” he said.

He was one of the first tailgaters in line, and win, lose, or draw, he and his buddies were all in for the Birds.

“I love it. I live for it,” he said. “This is my 33rd season as a season ticket holder. Tailgating with the same guys, we bring each other out—it’s just a load of fun.”

Steve Moose also gets to the stadium lots early, around 4 a.m., for his tailgate festivities. His game-day spread is fit for a king.

“We have all kinds of stuff—sushi, burgers, Stromboli, tomato pies,” he said.

Moose has been with the Eagles through thick and thin, attending games for about 25 years and holding a season ticket for 17 of those years. He’s feeling pretty good about their chances of beating the Rams today.

The winner of Sunday’s game will take on the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game next Sunday, Jan. 26.
