NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A 56-year-old Atlantic City man has pleaded guilty to raping a woman at a bus terminal.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office says Eric Williams admitted to sexually assaulting a woman who was asleep at the Atlantic City bus terminal in May 2022. The assault was caught on surveillance video, which led to his arrest.

Prosecutors are requesting a 12-year sentence under the No Early Release Act, which requires serving 85% of that sentence before being eligible for parole.

Upon his eventual release, Williams must register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law. He will be under supervision for life.

Sentencing is scheduled for March.
