EXTON, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — The boys and girls of Exton Little League are playing ball on brand new fields that were built by Energy Transfer.

These fields were built because of the impact the Mariner East Pipeline had on the previous location. League president Dave Stevenson said Energy Transfer put up $3.5 million to construct the new complex on Boot Road.

"It's a beautiful park," he said. We got a pavilion. There are bleachers. We got a concession stand and restroom facilities and really state of the art fields with beautiful scoreboards."

Stevenson said 450 boys and girls and their families are going to love baseball and softball games there this season and many more.

"I think first, there's a sense of relief just because we definitely had some concerns that we were not going to be able to have a spring season because of the lack of fields," he said.

And Stevenson said it's great that there's another big open space in the township that anyone can enjoy.
