PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Every year, medical students enter a matching program where they choose their specialty and where they will train.

After eight years of schooling in college and medical school, this is the time to choose advanced training in a wide variety of medical fields, from surgery to radiology.

In addition, the number of family physicians caring for children is decreasing. A concern is that a large number of pediatricians retired post-COVID.
