PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A fight between a referee and a spectator at a youth football game in Roxborough ended in gunfire Saturday afternoon.
It happened just before 2 p.m. outside the Al Pearlman Sports Complex.
Police said an altercation broke out between a referee and another person on the field before escalating into a fight on the street.
At some point, the two were walking away from each other, and that’s when someone fired a gun.
Parents said they ducked for cover and shielded their children.
Police recovered one spent shell casing, but they haven't said if anyone was hurt or arrested.
