Fire crews battle three-alarm blaze at apartment complex in Hatfield

HATFIELD, P.A. (KYW Newsradio) — Crews in Montgomery County battled a three-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Hatfield Township Thursday afternoon.

First responders got a call around 2 p.m. reporting a large fire at the Hatfield Village Apartments at Chestnut Street and Maple Avenue.

The fire is said to have spread throughout the three-floor building to the roof.

It took around two hours for the crews to get the blaze under control.

Officials said there were no injuries as a result of the fire as everyone was able to evacuate in time. They also said 24 units are uninhabitable in the apartment complex after the fire.
