Fire crews work to contain 25-acre wildfire in Salem County

NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Fire crews are battling a wildfire in Salem County.

According to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, the 25-acre fire is burning in the area of Fort Mott Road in Pennsville Township.

As of 4 p.m. Saturday, 12 structures are threatened.

The Forest Fire Service says it is in unified command with Pennsville Township, as the fire is not in it’s primary service area.

The National Weather Service said there's an elevated risk for the spread of wildfires in central and southern New Jersey on Saturday.
