PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This weekend on Flashpoint, host Cherri Gregg asks the burning questions about recent police shooting of Walter Wallace Jr.

His family says they called 911 asking for an ambulance and the police showed up. Wallace was in a mental health crisis and wielding a knife. The police response was to shoot and kill.

Parents Kathy Brant and Walter Wallace Senior speak about what happened. Their attorney Shaka Johnson explains why they do not want the officers charged with murder.

The newsmaker is U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders. He speaks directly to his most stubborn supporters with Flashpoint associate producer Arian Fulcher.
