WILMINGTON, Del. (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Wilmington, Delaware, are investigating a shooting that killed two young men and left two other people in critical condition.
The shooting occurred on the corner of North Adams and West Seventh streets around 2:23 p.m., according to Wilmington police.
Officials said two men were brought to the hospital, where they died from their gunshot wounds. However, police did not say where they were shot. They were later identified as 19-year-old Ryan Evans and 21-year-old Wahkee Tabron, both of Newark.
Another man and a woman, ages 36 and 37, were also brought to the hospital in critical condition.
Police have not revealed a motive, nor a suspect. The shooting occurred outside Adams Market, a corner convenience store and deli. That’s where investigators focused their efforts and placed about 30 evidence markers. Police, however, did not say how many spent shell casings they recovered.
A two-block stretch of Adams Street was re-opened around 5:15 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Wilmington police.
