PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The U.S. Marshals Service is searching for an alleged gang member they say killed three people in Philadelphia.
The murders date to nearly five years ago, the first being 16-year-old Heywood Garrison, who was shot and killed in August 2020 along 22nd and Diamond streets. Officials say his sister was fatally stabbed the year before in a separate incident.
The other murders happened two years later. Wesley Roswell, 20, was killed in May 2020 near 16th Street and Erie Avenue, and Ryan Findley, 23, was killed in September along Creston Street in Frankford.
Authorities say 24-year-old Tyvine Jones, a member of the “Blumberg” street gang in North Philadelphia, has been charged with Garrison, Roswell and Findley’s deaths.
“We have seen people charged with triple murders; they shoot into a crowd, and three people are hit. So this is a unique one for us, and we are hoping to get him off the streets, and we are hoping the public can assist us in this,” said Rob Clark, supervisory deputy for the U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia. “We believe him to be armed and highly dangerous.”
Authorities say Jones is about 6-feet-tall and goes by the alias “Eerd.” He has black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo that reads “Blumberg Baby” across his neck. He also has tattoos on his arm and hand. His last known address is along the 2600 block of North Chadwick Street.
Clark says the gang operates around 24th and Oxford streets.
Anyone with information is asked to call the U.S. Marshals Philadelphia tipline at 1-866-865-8477.
All tips are anonymous, with no court appearance required.
Clark says once Jones is arrested, the tipster will be paid $5,000 within weeks.
