PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Health care is not immune to AI's impact on the business world. Now that the majority of physicians rely on computer technology for patient records, several of the major electronic record companies are promoting AI as a way to improve the efficiency of care.
It is being marketed as a way for health care organizations to improve their bottom line. But major medical organizations like the American Medical Association are saying slow down.
AI is far from perfect and it is best used as a tool to improve care. Leaders in health care need to slow down in an industry where mistakes can mean lives.
