
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Officials are searching for a man accused of killing then burying his ex-girlfriend's body inside a shallow grave in the Northeast last month.
Geovanni Otero, 29, also known as "Gozer," is wanted for the murder of 29-year-old Melody Rivera. The two were last seen on Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. on Sanger Street.
Rivera was reported missing the next day. Her family said they looked for her for six days before police found her body inside a shallow grave in a part of Champions Park Playground in Fox Chase.
Otero has black hair, a beard and mustache. He is about 5-foot-10 and has tattoos on his arms and neck.
His last known address is along the 5800 block of North Park Avenue in the Fern Rock section of the city.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
