PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 56-year-old grandmother has died following a case of arson in a Bridesburg rowhome last week.
The Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled Maureen Davis’s cause of death as complications of smoke inhalation, and is listing the manner of death as a homicide.
Davis’s two grandchildren were also injured in the fire on May 26.
It started around 2 a.m. at the home on the corner of James and Kennedy streets.
Investigators believe a 35-year-old man started the fire, but have not given any further information.
