PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 39-year-old man was found dead on the side of the road in Rhawnhurst. Police say he was killed in a hit-and-run at a five-point intersection.
Around 3 a.m. Monday, investigators say a driver noticed something unusual on the side of Bustleton Avenue, near Solly Avenue. It appeared to be a body. The driver called 911.
Police arrived and found the 39-year-old victim.
Investigators still don’t know exactly what happened, and they don’t have a description of the striking car. They’re hoping surveillance cameras on some nearby homes and businesses captured the incident.
