PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - A horse was captured just off I-95 in Port Richmond early Tuesday morning.
Before that, the horse was reportedly roaming on the interstate, drawing the attention of drivers. How it got there is yet to be determined.
Off the interstate in Port Richmond, near Bath and Westmoreland Streets, the horse was captured on video tied to a fence and surrounded by law enforcement. They also handcuffed a bucket from Wawa to the fence and filled it with water so the horse would have something to drink.
Later in the morning, Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club — a Strawberry Mansion-based urban horseback riding club — arrived in Port Richmond to help authorities transport the horse away from the scene.
Where the horse was taken is yet to be determined, but it was in good health when it was captured.
