PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — It's South Philly. It's Philadelphia sports. Go big or go home, right? But fans on Tuesday might want to be extra careful with their planning if they want to avoid traffic headaches.

Hint for fans: Park and take public transit.

Hint for everyone else: There will be a lot of sports fans on public transit.

Parking lots at the Sports Complex will open at 3 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, or park in the city and take public transportation to all games. Also, fans are reminded to allow for extra travel time.

And with that, here's our best advice for how to get around Tuesday night.

The games

At Wells Fargo Center at 6 p.m., the puck drops for the Flyers' home opener against the Vancouver Canucks.

At Lincoln Financial Field at 8 p.m., the men's national teams of Mexico and Germany go head to head in a soccer friendly.

And the big ticket on Tuesday night: Philadelphia Phillies vs. Arizona Diamondbacks in Game Two of the NLCS at Citizens Bank Park. First pitch is at 8:07 p.m.
