PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer found in American women. Fortunately, breast cancer is much easier to treat if it is caught early.
All women should follow the American Cancer Society's recommendations for mammograms, but you should also look at your own family history. If members of your family have had breast cancer, you could be at greater risk.
Genetic testing is available to screen for this, and it is quite effective.
Remember, regularly exercising and limiting the amount of alcohol intake can reduce your risk of getting breast cancer.
