DENNIS TOWNSHIP, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — Human remains were found in Cape May County last week, according to New Jersey State Police. Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the victim.

The remains of a woman were discovered in Belleplain State Forest in Dennis Township on Dec. 22, police said in a news release published on Sunday.

The woman is believed to have been white or Hispanic and approximately 5 feet, 1 inch tall. She also had two distinct tattoos, authorities said.

One tattoo is a koi fish on the right shoulder blade area. The other is a rose on the left side of the body, from the chest to the hip.

A yoga mat and a necklace were also found at the scene. The cause of death has not been released.
