PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Blue Route in Delaware County is back up and running after a nearly five-hour closure Wednesday morning due to an overturned dump truck.

I-476 northbound was closed between the exits for Upper Darby and Villanova-Saint Davids. The crash happened shortly after 3 a.m., PennDOT reported.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, a car slammed into the dump truck and hit its rear axle, causing it to overturn and spill gravel across the highway.

Troopers said the driver of the car was under the influence and had illegal controlled substances at the time of the crash.

No one was hurt.

The Blue Route reopened around 8:30 a.m.
