PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — I-95 North near the Betsy Ross Bridge has reopened.

It had been closed off since Monday afternoon when a truck carrying an oversized load struck the Conrail bridge overpass in Northeast Philadelphia.

The stretch approaching the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue interchange was reduced to a single lane following the crash. The interstate closed around 10 p.m. Monday.

Construction carried on throughout the week and was completed late Saturday afternoon, leading to a reopening around 4 p.m.

The ramp from Castor Avenue to I-95 North has also reopened to traffic.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. Monday. Drivers headed northbound on I-95 through the city's Northeast were delayed for as long as 1 ½ hours as Conrail and PennDOT crews conducted inspections.

NJ Transit, Atlantic City Rail Line and commercial rail traffic were all suspended following the crash.
