2 charged in shooting on I-95 in Delco that killed 1, injured another

DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Two men have been charged in connection with a shooting along I-95 in Delaware County last year that left a driver dead and a passenger injured.

Police responded to a call about a shooting on I-95 Northbound in Upper Chichester around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 7, 2023.

Upon arrival, troopers found a man, identified as Chris Gordy, inside a vehicle and dead from multiple gunshot wounds. A person in the passenger seat was also shot multiple times.

A little over a year later, on Dec. 12, 2024, police arrested and charged Ronald Collins, 36, of Chester. Officials are still looking for a second suspect, identified as Daryl Eugene Beckett, 35, also of Chester.

Both are charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy and violations of the uniformed firearms act.
