PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Florida man has been arrested in connection with a card skimming operation in Bristol Borough, Pennsylvania.
According to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, it all started on July 20 when 38-year-old Ionut Adrian Oprea and another man distracted staffers at the All Fresh store on Pond Street to put an electronic skimming device on a credit card reader keypad.
Oprea and the other man returned to the store on Aug. 20 for a second attempt, but were recognized by the workers. Oprea was detained in the store until police arrived, but the other man ran off.
He was last seen wearing a white shirt, dark shorts and a white baseball hat.

Police confirmed the recovered skimming devices were targeting EBT accounts. They also had independent battery sources and wiring, making them difficult to detect.
Opera faces several charges, including criminal conspiracy.
