South Jersey man arrested in Philly, charged in Atlantic City shooting that killed 1 teen and wounded another

SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A Galloway Township, New Jersey man was arrested in Philadelphia on Tuesday after authorities said he shot and killed a teenager last month in Atlantic City.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said the FBI and Philadelphia Police Departmnt arrested Louis Jackson, 23, on 50th Street and Chester Avenue in the city's Kingsessing section.

Investigators said Jackson shot two teenagers, ages 15 and 17, on Nov. 7 along Arkansas Avenue, before fleeing to Philly.

The 15-year-old was shot several times and taken to a hospital, where he later died. The 17-year-old was shot in the face and treated at a hospital, but is expected to survive.

Jackson has been charged with murder and attempted murder. No court dates were announced.
