Biden to visit Scranton to rally support for infrastructure deal

The Build Back Better package stands at $3.5T

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — President Joe Biden is visiting his Pennsylvania birthplace this week.

He will speak in Scranton on Wednesday to rally support for his $3.5 trillion human infrastructure package.

This comes as Democrats in Congress are working to get more moderates on board by curbing that multi-trillion-dollar price tag.

If passed, the Build Back Better package would include free child care and community college, health care benefits for seniors, and measures to fight climate change.

The programs would be funded through higher taxes on corporations and the rich.
