KYW Medical Report: Does it matter which arm gets the COVID-19 vaccine?

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — It can be stressful — you are finally ready to get your COVID-19 vaccine and the person administrating the shot asks, “Which arm would you like to receive it?”

The answer is simple: It doesn’t matter. Pick the one you want.

It also does not matter if you choose your other arm to get the second dose.

Another common COVID-19 question: Should you shave your facial hair for a better mask fit?

That is a common-sense answer: It is better to wear a mask whether you have facial hair or not, but if you want to reduce the chance of inhaling the virus, the tighter the fit, the better. That means shaving the hair.
