PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The U.S. is heading into what some are calling the darkest days of the pandemic, but there are also people who think we can now see light in the darkness.

There is no doubt that many have refused to wear masks and social distance, but new reports suggest that as many as 70% of people faithfully wear masks, and the number is growing. This will help slow the spread of COVID-19.

The other source of optimism is the vaccines. There are two major advantages of having the vaccines: the first is that two doses will help build immunity in our body, but the second is that you become a person who can stop the virus from going to someone else.

Masks, social distancing and vaccination are the best tools we have to get back to the lives we have been used to living.
