PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is looking closely at COVID-19 infections that occur in people after they have been vaccinated.
A recent report identified new COVID-19 cases in just 0.008% of those who have been fully vaccinated — a very small number.
It's important to remember breakthrough cases are normal with any vaccine.
Fortunately, there is better news ahead. We know that the more people who are vaccinated, the fewer chances for exposure and infection — which, in turn, means even fewer breakthrough cases.
