PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Several people remain hospitalized after a devastating fire tore through a duplex on West Richardson Avenue in Langhorne in the early morning hours Saturday.

Fire officials say one person was found unconscious on the second floor of the home and rescued by a firefighter. Two of the victims suffered serious injuries.

"I mean, the initial crews took a pretty substantial beating trying to make those rescues," Langhorne-Middletown Fire Chief Frank Farry told our partners at NBC10 Philadelphia. "They did their job and got everybody out."

As of Saturday afternoon, four of the victims were still hospitalized.

The Pennsylvania State Police and fire officials from Middletown Township are investigating the cause.
