NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — The body of a Princeton University student who went missing last weekend was found Friday in Lake Carnegie, the school's man-made reservoir for its rowing team.
Lauren Blackburn, a 23-year-old junior, was last seen around 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, near the school's Firestone Library.
Rescue teams began searching the reservoir on Tuesday after a missing person's phone pinged in the area.
Princeton Dean of undergraduate students Regan Crotty called Blackburn's loss "tragic" for the school community.
“Our hearts are heavy, and we share our deepest condolences with Lauren’s family and friends,” Crotty said.
Counseling services are available for students on campus.
