PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — An argument over a parking spot turned violent early Wednesday morning when a man attacked a woman with a machete in North Philadelphia.

Around 1 a.m., police said the two got into a verbal dispute over a parking spot along the 2800 block of Hancock Street, near Somerset Street, in the city’s Fairhill neighborhood.

Police said the man then pulled out a machete and cut the 23-year-old woman on the hip. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene in a blue Nissan Sentra. Police are now trying to track him down.
