Police-involved shooting on Main Line leaves person dead

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A police-involved shooting in Chester County has left one person dead.

Malvern police said the shooting happened shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday morning when officers were conducting a well-being check at a home on the 800 block of Charleston Greene.

While police were investigating, someone pulled out a gun. At some point, a struggle began.

The person was shot and killed.

Police called this an isolated incident, and said there is no related threat to the community.

Chester County Detectives are investigating the shooting, and anyone who may have information on the case is asked to call them at 610-344-6866.
