PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man accused of raping a 15-year-old in Center City last year pleaded guilty Friday in a negotiated deal with prosecutors.
Derrick Henry, 35, admitted to assaulting the girl November 2024 near Jeweler’s Row, around 8th and Chestnut Streets.
He pleaded guilty to a single offense of indecent sexual deviant intercourse for a person under 16, the rest of the charges, including rape, sexual assault and corruption of a minor were all dropped.
Henry was sentenced to 6 to 12 years in prison.
