PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man was arrested in Marple Township, Delaware County, on Tuesday after police said he made threatening Facebook posts involving a Catholic church.
Marple police were tipped off anonymously Sunday about an alarming Facebook post by Cristopher Henderson, 37, of Exton. The post mentioned his church, St. Pius X Church in Broomall.
Police pulled Henderson over on his way to St. Pius, but didn’t find anything suspicious in his car. Marple Police Chief Brandon Graeff said the post itself wasn’t criminal, but added Henderson made offhand comments to an officer about someone shooting up the church that raised a red flag.
Tuesday morning, police received more calls about another post by Henderson. In it, police said he threatened to come to St. Pius and “send people to hell”. He made other vague, profane threats of violence that weren’t necessarily directed at anyone specific.

Police searched the St. Pius parking lot and made sure children attending the school were safe. Henderson was not there. Graeff said he was pulled over on West Chester Pike by Newtown Township police before Marple authorities arrested him.
Henderson has been charged with making terroristic threats and ordered to stay away from Marple Township.
Graeff said after failing to post bail, Henderson is being held at the George W. Hill Correctional Facility.
