PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man’s body was found stuffed inside a suitcase in the city’s Kensington neighborhood Friday morning.
Police were called to Hilton Street, just off E Street and Allegheny Avenue, around 9:30 a.m., just blocks from McPherson Square. It was there that they discovered the suitcase with the man’s body inside.
Police said a man who was looking for scrap metal in the alley found the body.
The body is now with the Medical Examiner for an autopsy, and detectives are working to try to identify who he is, but as of now, they don’t know how he died.
Investigators are also searching for surveillance video and speaking with people in the area.
