PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia authorities have charged a 25-year-old with setting at least two fires which injured two people, and they say he could be responsible for at least a dozen more.
They said Carlos Barry set a house fire at 59th and Race Street, and a trash fire at 60th and Race. Both fires happened last week.
He faces charges of arson, risking and causing catastrophe and criminal mischief.
“I want to thank ATF Philadelphia and our law enforcement partners that constitute the Arson and Explosives Task Force for pursuing these incidents before they could result in loss of life,” District Attorney Larry Krasner said in a statement.
“The District Attorney’s Office will now seek to hold this individual appropriately accountable, which may include ensuring he receives behavioral health services and treatment.”

The ATF is continuing with their investigation, which they say began with a series of fires in West Philadelphia beginning in June. That investigation includes these fires which "may be connected to this defendant," according to authorities:
