CAMDEN, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — Homicide detectives in Camden said they finally got their man last month in a 2011 cold case that’s taken more than a decade to piece together.

It was DNA evidence that the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said finally linked 46-year-old Kenyar Hill to the stabbing death of Brian Holden in Camden back in October 2011.

Investigators said Hill paid for sex with a woman, then took his money back. That woman called for help from Holden, who was stabbed and later died. DNA was collected from the woman and Hill was identified by the Combine DNA Index System as a potential match in 2022.

Authorities said additional testing and a cheek swab from Hill confirmed the match, and he was arrested late last month and currently being held at the Camden County jail.
