CENTER CITY (KYW Newsradio) — A man walking on I-676 early Wednesday morning was struck and killed in a multi-car crash that shut down the Vine Street Expressway for at least two hours.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes of the highway near its exit at 16th street around 4 a.m., according to state police. The driver that hit the pedestrian remained on the scene.
The man has not been named at this time and no other details have been made available.
The Vine Street Expressway reopened a little after 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
