PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man died after being pulled from a row home fire in Port Richmond on Thursday.

It happened just before 6:30 p.m. at a home on Almond Street, near East Allegheny Avenue.

Firefighters pulled a 67-year-old man from the first floor and a 49-year-old man with special needs from the second floor. The 67-year-old man died from his injuries.

A third person was able to safely evacuate on their own.

Fire officials said hoarding conditions made it difficult to reach the people inside.
