
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man was killed and another was wounded after a double shooting in the Queen Village neighborhood of South Philadelphia on Tuesday.
Police say it happened just before 7 p.m. at Fifth and Carpenter streets.
A 23-year-old was hit several times and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to Chief Inspector Scott Small, two cars pulled up to the scene and at least three people got out and opened fire.
More than 40 spent shell casings were found at the scene.
A 25-year-old corner store employee was shot in the hand but is expected to be OK, according to investigators.
No weapons were found at the scene, and no arrests have been made.
