PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 32-year-old Bucks County man has pleaded no contest to charges of raping a 15-year-old, who police said he contacted through Snapchat.
Miguel Sanchez, of Sellersville, pleaded no contest on Tuesday to multiple charges, including rape, statutory sexual assault, trafficking in individuals, and related counts. A no-contest plea means Sanchez is not admitting to the crimes but is acknowledging that there would be enough evidence to convict him if the case went to trial.
Sanchez was charged last fall. Prosecutors said he raped a 15-year-old in his car in a Giant grocery store parking lot in Quakertown.
The 15-year-old told police she had met Sanchez once before and exchanged contact information through Snapchat. She said Sanchez offered her money in exchange for nude and explicit videos via the app.
Prosecutors said he also contacted her 16-year-old friend with similar offers.
Sanchez is scheduled to be sentenced in August.
