Man robs Center City bank, uses SEPTA train as his getaway

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police arrested a man on Tuesday afternoon in connection with a robbery at a Center City bank.

Officials say the suspect robbed the Citizens Bank on Seventh and Market streets around noon, then ran down the block to the Market-Frankford Line at Eighth Street and hopped on a SEPTA train. It is not yet known how much he got away with.

SEPTA police said they were able to track him down using their surveillance cameras.

He was arrested at the Huntingdon Station in Kensington.

The FBI is handling the investigation.
