PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are searching for two people they say are responsible for shooting another man during an attempted car break in.
It was around midnight Saturday when a man inside of his home on Sunnyside Avenue heard noises coming from outside. Police say the man went outside to assess the situation and found two people breaking into his car. When he approached them, he was shot in the chest.
The suspects then ran off. The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he’s in stable condition.
It is not yet known if the suspects were attempting to steal the car or something inside of it.
No weapon was recovered.
