PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Investigators believe a domestic dispute led to a shooting inside a home in North Philadelphia early Tuesday morning, leaving one man dead.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a home on Willington Street near Cecil B. Moore Avenue — close to the campus of Temple University.

Officers found 21-year-old Nasceer Thomas inside a bedroom with a single gunshot wound to the stomach. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said it appears the shooting was sparked by a lovers’ quarrel. The alleged shooter, identified as 22-year-old Khaleef Brown, was tracked down and arrested not far away, at 19th and Jefferson streets. Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun.

Police recovered a weapon.
